As a Nigerian, travelling abroad is a task because unlike many other countries, we have to check numerous boxes before even getting to the point of booking flights. So, in this post I am exploring visa free countries for Nigerians.

If you are a Nigerian passport holder, talking about international vacation the mention of visa is almost alien to us. It’s so bad that the word “visa’ in any conversation gives many people PTSD. Many even believe they will get denied if they ever attempt visa application by themselves. And with the rise of fake visa agents, sadly people also get scammed… even those you will never believe can be scammed.

Which country is easy for Nigerians to travel to?

The high class citizens of Nigeria like to vacation in countries like Canada, United States America, and Western European countries. Many highly skilled Nigerians also prefer these countries as migration options. These trends can also be observed globally. Consequently, the immigration process to these countries are very lengthy and success rate of visa application to these countries are really low. But, did you know you could travel visa free on your Nigerian passport?

Nigeria passport ranks 90th on the 2023 Henley Passport Index, 11 places higher than 2022’s ranking so, we’re growing. A Nigerian passport holder can travel to 46 countries visa free. Some of these destinations offer *visa on arrival or **eTA. This is the list.
