The Wairarapa ballon festival is an annual 5-day magical festival that takes place across many cities in the Wairarapa region in New Zealand’s North Island.
Wairarapa balloon fesival is a fun family event featuring glorious balloons across Wairarapa skies. There are also ballonist competition, displays, you can even take a flight in one of the hot air balloons.
The event and pulls hot air balloon enthusiasts from all over New Zealand and others just keen for something to do. It’s sort of used to usher in Autumn.
Ballons take off each morning from different local towns. The highlight or peak of the event happens on the third day. This is the NIGHT GLOW which takes place in the night (needs no explanation).
Night glow is a 5-hour action-packed entertainment that I am pretty certain you all will enjoy. It is what I described in this video as ‘the greatest night experience since April 2023″.
